Samy Berkani is a wildlife photographer based in the Jura, France. He is also a guide and offers photo tours in Iceland, Scotland and the Algerian Sahara. Passionate about the Arctic and Sahara deserts, Samy takes you to the heart of wildlife, where conditions are extreme and humans are absent.
Samy Berkani was born and grew up in Algeria before settling in the heart of Jura mountains, in France, to fully pursue his activity as a wildlife photographer. After numerous trips to Scandinavia and the British Isles, he turned his attention to exploring the Icelandic tundra to study and photograph the Arctic Fox and the island’s incredible flora and fauna.

Photo tours for everyone
Samy Berkani offers photo tours for all levels. He welcomes groups of 4 to 6 people in the Jura, Iceland, Algeria and Scotland. The aim of these photo workshops is to help photographers improve their skills and understand how ecosystems and species work, particularly in extreme environments.
